About

Off Book was started in 2012 as a collaboration between Fiona Angwin, Martin Williams and Ian Nenna to produce a show called Dickens, Drood and the Best of Tomes. The year after, Fiona, Martin and Dan Jeffery collaborated on a nationwide tour of Puck of Pook’s Hill. Over the years we’ve collaborated to create a number of different shows as well as having pursued their own projects under the Off Book name.

In the North West, Off Book has been commissioned to produce several shows and work with fellow actors and creatives in a collaborative fashion.

Our Current Team

Martin Williams is one of the co-founders of Off Book. A graduate of John Moores with BAs in Drama and Creative Writing, and MRes in English, Martin turns his hand to acting, directing and writing equally. Martin is particularly interested in adaptations and how they are used in Theatre in Education.

You? We’re always looking for new collaborators. If you’d like to join us as a collaborator please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.

Former Team Members

Fiona Angwin was the other co-founder of Off Book. Fiona has brought massive experience to the company having worked for a range of different theatre companies and having run other companies in the past. Fiona is also a skilled novelist having recently released her sequel novel Sour Scars. Fiona sadly died in 2020 but her bouncy, energetic, enthusiasm continues to be an inspiration to us.

Dan Jeffery has penned some of our most popular scripts and brings a wealth of experience to every Off Book show that he is a part of. Dan has delighted audiences with his comedic and serious roles alike.
